Inside Our June Caravan Trip: Self-Care on the Road

Last month, we packed up our little home on wheels and hit the road, travelling through the beautiful northwest of Australia — the red dirt roads, the open skies, the salty breezes. Just me, my husband Dean, our dog Odin, and the steady rhythm of the road.
There’s something magical about caravan life. It invites slowness. It reminds you how little you really need. It offers space to simply be. And even while adventuring, I held close the rituals that anchor me — my daily skincare routines, woven intentionally with mindfulness and love.
Self-care doesn’t stop when you’re away from home. In fact, I found it became even more essential.

Nightly Rituals Under the Stars
Each night, after a day of exploring or simply sitting still by the ocean, I’d massage my Magnesium Magic Balm into my feet — a slow, loving ritual to soothe tired muscles and prepare for deep sleep. There’s something deeply calming about this act: the earthy scent of essential oils, the quiet focus of touch, and the knowing that I’m giving back to my body.
Under the stars, in our cosy caravan bed, this simple act became my nightly anchor.
Daily Reset with Aura Cleanse Spray
Travel can stir up a lot — new places, shifting energies, the hum of movement. Each morning and often throughout the day, I’d reach for my Aura Cleanse Spray, spritzing it gently around my body. With each mist, I’d take a deep breath and reset my mood. It helped me ground, clear any tension, and invite calm back in. A little pocket of peace in a bottle.
Tending to My Hands, Tending to Myself
Caravan life often means outdoor cooking, dusty walks, and holding tight to dog leads. My hands worked hard on this trip, so I made sure to pause often to massage them with my nourishing hand cream — slow circles into the palms, gentle strokes along the fingers, a little moment of care for all they do.
Face Moisturiser with Mindful Intention
Even on the road, I never skip moisturising my face. It’s more than just hydration — it’s a pause, a breath, a moment to check in. As I applied my face moisturiser, I’d take a few seconds to close my eyes, feel the cream melt into my skin, and remind myself to soften. To find calm. To return to myself.
Movement, Nature, and Soulful Sips
Every day we’d walk — sometimes along the beach, other times through dusty trails lined with wildflowers. I’d unroll my mat outside and stretch my body with gentle yoga, listening to the wind and birdsong as my soundtrack.
And almost every evening, I’d make cacao — not just a drink, but a ritual. I’d stir it slowly on the stove, add a touch of cinnamon, and hold the warm mug in my hands with gratitude. I’d sip it slowly, inviting in presence and joy.

Finding Ritual in Every Day
This trip reminded me, once again, that self-care doesn’t need to be complicated. It’s about presence. It’s about choosing to tend to yourself, even in the small ways. Whether you’re at home or on the road, your rituals can travel with you.
They become your anchors, your reset buttons, your quiet love notes to self.
Thanks for coming along for the ride with me. I hope this little peek into our June journey inspires you to find moments of pause and nourishment, wherever you are.
With love,
Melissa 💙
